Spellbound by Emily Bronte

The night is darkening round me,
The wild winds coldly blow;
But a tyrant spell has bound me
And I cannot, cannot go.

The giant trees are bending
Their bare boughs weighed with snow.
And the storm is fast descending,
And yet I cannot go.

Clouds beyond clouds above me,
Wastes beyond wastes below;
But nothing dear can move me;
I will not, cannot go.

Do you think that young people today value education as much as Sara does? Why or Why not?

I feel like young people today do not value eduction nearly as much as they did in the past. With so many distractions now and so much more to do it is easy to forget about the important things. School and learning is going to be what makes us and if we forget about that then this is going to be a very sad nation in the future. Many other countries set their morals around learning and making it fun to learn and I feel like in a way our system is based around just trying to get the job done. Many teachers just try to do their job and not make it interesting for the student and that is why kids dislike to come to school and learn new things.

The Bread Givers

As of now I am enjoying The Bread Givers as much as I can on a topic like this. Personally I would never choose to read a book of this nature but now that we are getting into it's starting to grow on me. I enjoy how the author gets you into all of the characters and in a way winds everyone's own individual story into one. As of now I enjoyed Gatsby more but I won't give up on the book and hopefully it will continue to get better.
"There's nothing hard about writing. All you have to do is sit down and open up a vein."-Walter Smith

I really believe this quote is true when you can write about a topic that you want to. When you are free to write about what ever you you can let your mind wander and express youself.
